Overview
Short version: no refunds on subscription fees. You can cancel any time from your account settings and keep using Orderain until the end of your current billing period. We do not prorate or refund unused time.
Exceptions are limited to billing errors on our side, prolonged platform downtime, and statutory consumer rights. Details below.
We encourage everyone to evaluate Orderain on the free plan before upgrading. The free tier includes the AI agent Buddy, real store generation, and the core platform features. This Refund Policy explains how we handle subscription billing and forms part of our Terms of Service.
A note for shoppers: this policy covers Orderain's own subscription billing to merchants. If you bought a product from a store powered by Orderain and want a refund for that order, please contact the merchant directly. Each merchant sets their own returns and refund policy.
1. Subscription Fees Are Non-Refundable
All payments made to Orderain for subscription plans are final and non-refundable, subject to the exceptions in section 4 (Billing Errors, Platform Issues, and Discretionary Refunds) and section 7 (EU Consumer Rights). By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree that you will not be entitled to a refund for charges incurred, regardless of whether the service was actively used during the billing period.
This policy applies to all paid plans and takes effect the moment your payment is processed. We strongly recommend exploring the platform on the free plan before committing to a paid subscription.
2. Why We Do Not Offer Refunds by Default
Orderain is a Software-as-a-Service platform where value is delivered immediately upon plan activation. The moment a subscription begins, your account gains full access to the features in your chosen tier and we provision infrastructure, hosting, AI inference, and storage capacity for your store. These costs are incurred upfront and cannot be recovered.

3. Cancellation of Subscription
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@orderain.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and your account retains full access to the platform until that date.
Cancelling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund for any portion of the current billing cycle already paid. No prorated refunds are issued for unused time remaining on a subscription after cancellation, except as described in section 4 or where required by applicable law.
4. Billing Errors, Platform Issues, and Discretionary Refunds
While our general policy is non-refundable, we honor exceptions in good faith when something has genuinely gone wrong on our side. We may issue a full or partial refund in the following situations:
Billing errors: duplicate charges, charges after a confirmed cancellation, or charges for a plan you did not select.
Extended downtime: prolonged platform outages that materially prevented you from operating your store during the billing period.
Platform errors: a clear technical defect on our side that prevented core features from working as documented and could not be reasonably resolved.
To request a refund under any of the above, email hello@orderain.com within 30 days of the charge with your account email, the order or invoice reference, and a description of the issue. We review every request in good faith. Verified refunds are processed to the original payment method via our payment processor (Stripe). Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
The following situations do not constitute a billing error and are not eligible for a refund:
Forgetting to cancel a subscription before the renewal date.
Choosing not to use the platform during an active subscription period.
Dissatisfaction with features that were available and documented at the time of purchase.
Upgrading or downgrading between plans mid-cycle.
Changes to features or pricing announced with reasonable notice.
5. Annual Subscriptions
Annual plans are billed for the full year upfront and are offered at a discount versus the monthly rate. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable and cannot be prorated. If you cancel an annual plan before the end of the subscription year, your access remains active through the end of the paid period, but no partial refund is issued for the remaining months.
If you are unsure whether Orderain is the right long-term fit for your business, start on a monthly plan to evaluate it before committing to a year.
6. AI Credits Are Non-Refundable
Orderain Magic AI Credits are a prepaid, one-time purchase used to power AI generation features (such as product descriptions, page content, content blocks, and full-site generation). Because credits grant immediate access to a consumable digital service, all credit purchases are final and non-refundable, including for unused credit balances.
Please note:
Credits are consumed on use. Credits are deducted only after an AI generation completes successfully. Once deducted, they cannot be restored or refunded.
AI output is generated on a best-effort basis. We do not provide refunds based on dissatisfaction with the style, accuracy, or quality of AI-generated content. We recommend testing generations and editing results as needed.
Unused credits are non-refundable. Purchased credits do not expire, but unused balances are not eligible for a refund or cash equivalent.
No transfer. Credits are tied to your account and cannot be transferred or exchanged for other products or services.
If you believe you were charged credits due to a verifiable technical error on our side (for example, you were debited but received no output), contact support at hello@orderain.com with details and we will review eligible cases at our discretion.
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer, please contact us at hello@orderain.com. We resolve most billing concerns within 1 to 2 business days. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in the suspension or termination of your account as described in our Terms of Service.
Orderain reserves the right to contest any chargeback that we believe is filed in bad faith or that does not align with this Refund Policy and our Terms of Service. We may submit our records of your account activity, communications, and platform usage to the payment processor as part of the dispute.
8. EU and UK Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer (not a business) based in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants statutory consumer rights, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase for digital services.
By subscribing to a paid Orderain plan, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the Service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed and you have begun using the paid features. If you have not used the paid plan during the first 14 days, you may request a refund of that subscription period by emailing hello@orderain.com.
This section does not limit any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable law that cannot be waived by agreement.
9. Taxes
Prices on Orderain are quoted exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Where Orderain is required to collect tax (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax) based on your billing location, the amount is added at checkout and shown on your invoice. When a refund is issued, the corresponding tax portion is refunded along with the subscription fee in accordance with applicable tax law.
10. Refunds for Shopper Orders on Vendor Stores
If you bought a product from a store powered by Orderain (a "Vendor store"), Orderain is not the seller of that product. Refund requests for items you purchased on a Vendor store must be made directly to that store. Each Vendor sets and is responsible for their own refund and returns policy under our Terms of Service.
If you cannot reach a Vendor, you may also raise the issue with the payment processor used at checkout (such as Stripe, PayPal, Safepay, RazorPay, or PayFast) following their dispute procedures.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes are communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by notifying paid subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
