The backend for AI-built stores

Let AI build the storefront.
We run the store.

Cursor, Claude and ChatGPT can write a beautiful shopfront in an afternoon. None of them can take a payment or hold stock. Orderain is the commerce API that does.

Why the demo stalls

A storefront
is not a store.

The page looks finished. Then the first real customer arrives.

How it works

Four steps from prompt
to a store taking money.

You keep the part AI is good at. We take the part it is not.

Build the storefront however you like

Any AI tool, any framework, any design. The frontend stays in your repo.

Point it at Orderain instead of fake data

Products, cart, checkout, orders and stock, all from one backend. No commerce logic left to write.

Hand the dashboard to whoever runs the shop

They get a real admin. You never become their content management system.

Start taking real orders

$1 for the first month, then from $5. The only cut on a sale is the processor’s.

Try it in ten seconds

Paste this into
your AI tool.

One paste into Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT. It reads the docs, pulls your live catalogue, and builds the pages against it.

Your AI will ask for an API token. Create one in your dashboard under Settings, then Headless, and give it only the scopes the storefront actually needs.

For the person running the shop

Someone still has to
actually run the shop.

Your client should not need a deploy to change a price. Building this screen is a second project. It comes with the API.

Pricing

$1 to start.
Zero% of every sale.

Headless commerce is usually priced for enterprises with a procurement team. Every plan here is $1 for the first month, then from $5 a month.

Orderain never takes a cut of a sale. The only thing between what the customer pays and what you keep is your payment processor.

An Orderain order for $126.00 with a $3.95 Stripe processor fee and a $0.00 Orderain platform fee, paying out $122.05
FAQ

The questions
before you build.

What is a commerce API for AI agents?

A commerce backend that AI tools can build against. The AI writes the storefront, and the API supplies the parts a storefront cannot fake: products, checkout, orders, inventory, customers, webhooks, and the admin the shop owner works in.

How does authentication work?

You create an API token in your dashboard under Settings, then Headless, and choose which scopes it carries. Your storefront sends it as a bearer header. Give a public storefront read access only, and keep the write scopes for server side code.

Which frameworks does it work with?

Any of them. It is an HTTP API, so Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, SvelteKit, React Native or a plain HTML page all work the same way. Nothing about the backend assumes a particular frontend, and there is no SDK you are forced to adopt.

Can I use it with Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Point them at the docs and they will write the integration for you. There is also an MCP server at mcp.orderain.com, so an assistant can read your catalogue and run the shop by talking to it rather than by calling endpoints.

What actually happens when a customer checks out?

Orderain takes the payment, creates a real order, decrements stock, and fires the order and inventory webhooks. The order shows up in the dashboard for whoever runs the shop. Your frontend does not have to hold any of that state.

Do I need to be a developer?

To build a custom storefront on the API, yes, or you need an AI tool doing it for you. Running the shop afterwards needs no code at all. The owner manages products, orders, stock, shipping and staff from the dashboard.

Why not let AI build the backend too?

Because that code touches money, stock and customer data, and it has to keep working at two in the morning without you. Payments, refunds, tax, permissions and fulfilment are worth having already built and already tested. Let AI spend its time on the part that makes your store look like nobody else.

Does Orderain take a commission on sales?

No. Orderain charges Zero% platform fees. You pay for the plan and keep 100% of every sale after your payment processor takes its own fee.

What does it cost to start?

$1 for your first month on any plan, then from $5 a month on Starter. There is no per sale cut and no separate charge for the dashboard, the API or the MCP server.
